    "At the House, staff and volunteers just knew how to be there for me. When the news wasn’t good, they sensed that I needed space, and respectfully gave it to me. They also knew when it was time to celebrate. The night I reported that Evan had uttered the word, “momma,” after months of being unable to talk, everyone in the House shared my joy. That night, we cried, we hugged, we rejoiced."
